God Strengthens by Lindsay Brown

A couple of weeks ago I got the privilege of being in the delivery room to watch and photograph my newest nephew's birth. Witnessing the miracle of birth is one of the most amazing experiences you could ever have! The picture above is one of my favorite I've ever taken, the emotions you feel when you hold your baby for the first time are out of this world. It was so meaningful to capture this moment, the fatigue, the joy, the relief, every emotion is bigger than life.

I went back to visit the next day and caught a few more pics of this newly born miracle, Ezekiel, which means "God Strengthens." Couldn't be happier for my family to have this little caboose on the end of their family train. Kid number 5, I might add!!

Tall Tales by Lindsay Brown

Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart. - Winnie the Pooh

I could have kept posting their pictures forever. We captured quite a few gems on the afternoon out with this family. They recently had their second little boy, and such a beautiful family of four they have become. We played and walked, explored and threw a lot of leaves. It was a fun adventure and a lot of good memories for the frames.

Wanderers by Lindsay Brown

It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end. - Ernest Hemingway

Let me tell you, photo shoots with toddlers are always an adventure! And this particular one was no different :)! I admire a two-year-old's youthful thirst for adventure, and insatiable hunger for discovery. At some point it becomes easier to desire an outcome and forget about the rich experience that is the journey. Following this little pixie around the Redwoods was a fresh reminder to learn from this long walk in life, to keep my eyes open and experience the joy and lessons that come as the time passes on my way to the end.

Bubbles by Lindsay Brown

My girls hit the 18 Month mark last week. Though it's technically not a birthday, it's a pretty big milestone on your way to two-years-old. Since their first birthday they've started walking, running, climbing, and growing a significant amount of hair. They're using words, trying spoons, carrying as many baby dolls as possible and chattering in some unknown baby language. Experiencing a baby moving into toddlerhood is busy, wonderful, fulfilling and enough to drive the most patient, understanding person to the edge of their sanity ;).

To commemorate this big milestone I set them loose in a yard full of bubbles and it was awesome!!

Here's to speaking English and figuring out the spoon!!
